Agnatheism

Though it seems straight-forward to me, I guess I should explain the title of this blog, "Agnatheist."

"Agnatheist" simply combines two words, "agnostic" and "atheist", as well as their meanings. While I consider myself to be mostly atheistic, I am not omnipotent and therefore cannot say with absolute certainty that there is no "god" or other supernatural being or life-force, although I don't believe such an entity is manifest in any of the mainstream religions currently out there.

So here I am. Ninety-five percent atheist, five percent wondering "what if?"
What if there is a god, but he/she accepts all comers?
What if there was a "big bang," but god orchestrated it?
What if god created the universe and all life within it? Then where did god come from?
What if there really is a Flying Spaghetti Monster?

The beauty and complexity of life certainly does seem miraculous, but so much can also be broken-down into cellular chemistry that is complex, but reproducible.

Believers say simply to have faith; I simply cannot!
